Welcome

Does spending a weekend in a cozy cabin on a woodland lake sound good to you? How about escaping the city to watch birds, beavers, deer, and turtles as you slowly paddle a kayak to a remote island? Or maybe you’d like to learn how to build a sauna out of cordwood and recycled wine bottles? Then you’ve come to the right place!

We are three city kids with big dreams, quirky ideas, and 13 acres of wooded land in Southwest Michigan. We are learning about construction and design by renovating and updating an old cabin on our property. Someday, we are hoping to be able to share this magical spot and experience with guests. In addition, we are facilitating and hosting workshops on DIY building techniques, focused on natural and sustainable building materials, so that others can feel empowered to start their own projects. Our first workshop, in June 2023, taught participants how to build with cordwood by leading them through the process of constructing an outdoor sauna house.
